Many gather for the official groundbreaking of New Britain-Hartford Busway

Tuesday, May 22nd was the official groundbreaking of the New Britain-Hartford Busway, currently known as “CTfasttrak.”

Chamber President, William Millerick was in attendance, along with a large contingent of business professionals and government officials from New Britain.

“The first phase was getting it up and running” Millerick stated.  “The next phase is taking advantage of it.  We need to seize this opportunity.”

CTfasttrak is being built on an abandoned railroad corridor from New Britain to Hartford’s Union Station.  Buses will operate from approximately 4:30 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. and will provide direct service to major employment sites within the region.
